Cool Gadgets for the Active You

Getting active nowadays may require support and enhancements to further succeed and achieve your targets. The cool gadgets mentioned here could surely level up your experience and add vigor to your active concerns: And you can even recommend these to your friend.. at least if you don't intend to give any of these as a gift.

The Only Complete Swiss Army Knife. If you’re in the market for a multifunction tool that just can’t be beaten, take a glance at this beauty that is so feature-packed - it holds a Guinness World Record. Called the Only Complete Swiss Army Knife, it features 87 precision-engineered tools which span 112 different functions - so you’ll be sure to have the right tool to tackle just about any job. This swiss knife includes seven blades, three types of pliers, three golf tools, 25 Phillips and Flat headed screwdrivers, plus saws, wrenches, a signal whistle, combination fish scaler, hook disgorger, line gauge tool, chain rivet setter, sh otgun choke tube tool, cig r-cutting scissors, tire-tread gauge, tweezers, toothpick and for a modern twist, a laser pointer.

Withings bathroom scale. The Connected bathroom scale is a new, high tech gadget from Withings. It provides a way of measuring your weight and keeping track of your diet progress and body composition that is in keeping with the modern focus on personal fitness. The basic concept is this: the bathroom scales tell you your weight in the normal manner and then using a WiFi connection, the results are sent to a web dashboard program which keeps track of your measurements over time, showing you clearly exactly when your weight has gone up or down. The precise tracking allows you to see how factors such as stress and many of the other elements of modern living affect your weight from.

Night Vision Goggles. The cool thing about these goggles is not only do they allow you to see in the dark, but even at full power they won’t be spotted by the animal/ child/ wall you’re following around, as even at full power the light emitted is barely visible to the naked eye. Which makes you wonder if the fifteen meters is really possible- my only experience with night vision goggles to date is of a very blurry looking creature which may or may not have been an antelope a couple of meters away.

Solar Coffee Maker. While this may be the first solar Coffee Maker concept, it will undoubtedly not be the last. The small appliance houses a battery tha t is charged by the sun. Gun Ho Lee also gave it an LCD display with amount of power, hot plate and pod filter. The designer was apparently inspired by watching a documentary about how carbon effects the ecosystem. Maybe that should be required for all.

First camera with built-in projector! The Nikon Coolpix S1000pj:

Nikon has just announced the new Nikon Coolpix S1000pj - the world’s first digital camera to include a built-in digital projector. The idea is to allow users to enjoy the pleasure of a ‘personal go-anywhere theatre and to introduce a fun new way to share pictures with friends and families.’

504x_s1000pj_bk_sml_510x230shkl

The Coolpix S1000pj is the first digital camera with a built-in projector that lets users project photos or movies clips on any flat surface at up to 40 inches in size. A handy projector stand is included, as is a remote control that can be used to operate the projector, release the shutter, and more. This model features an effective resolution of 12.1 megapixels and a 5x Zoom-Nikkor lens with 28mm (equivalent) wide-angle coverage, along with a similar image stabilization system to the Coolpix S640.

The Nikon Coolpix S1000pj couples a 12.0 megapixel image sensor with a Nikkor-branded 5x optical zoom lens that offers 35mm-equivalent focal lengths from a useful 28mm wide angle to a 140mm telephoto. In addition, Coolpix S1000pj can support ISO as high as 6,400. For more details on its spec, please read the Nikon Coolpix S1000pj feature highlights.

The Coolpix S1000pj is expected to be available on the market from September.

Nikon COOLPIX S1000pj Feature Highlights:

Sharper results with five advanced Nikon image stabilizing features. The camera selects and uses only the features required to optimize each image:

Nikon’s Optical lens shift and Electronic VR image stabilization systems combine to help produce blur-free images.

High ISO 6400
capability allows faster shutter speeds when shooting in low light or capturing fast-moving subjects.
ISO 3200 and 6400 are available only for image sizes of 3M (2048 x 1536) or smaller.

Motion Detection
automatically controls shutter speed and the ISO setting to compensate for subject movement and camera shake.

And, Nikon’s original BSS (Best Shot Selector) function
automatically shoots a series of sequential frames and saves the one with the sharpest focus.

Nikon’s Smart Portrait System with Skin Softening. Face-priority AF helps produce more satisfying portraits by adjusting focus and exposure for as many as 12 faces in the framed shot. Skin Softening function detects and analyzes a framed subject’s skin, and then adjusts smoothness to produce enhanced results - a digital plus for beauty-conscious women out there. Smile Timer automatically releases the shutter when the subject smiles, while its Blink Proof function shoots two sequential frames, then saves the one in which the subject’s eyes are widest open. Blink Warning presents an alert when it suspects that someone in the shot has blinked. In-Camera Red-Eye Fix automatically corrects any perceived red-eye effect before saving the image to memory.

Intelligent automated shooting modes that promote carefree shooting.
Nikon’s Scene Auto Selector makes it faster and easier to capture the moment by eliminating the need to manually select a scene mode to match the intended shot. This intelligent function determines the subject, analyzes the surrounding settings, and then automatically selects the appropriate scene mode for optimal results. Subject Tracking enhances the shooting experience by following the subject’s movement to ensure clear focus and quick response when that special shutter opportunity presents itself. Subject Tracking even functions if the subject moves out of the frame for a second or two.

Quick Retouch.Quick Retouch automatically adjusts the contrast and saturation of selected photos to create an enhanced copy with the right finishing touch.

HOT SERVICES FROM COOL GADGETS

I have come across some amazingly cool gadgets that could make life imaginatively easier. The modern lifetrend has somehow plugged our affairs with optional necessities. These objects would remain elective until one takes a closer look at the exceptional hot services they provide for our current lifestyle. A second look at their individual features draws you away from the naïve temptation towards languid contentment. Let us see what they have to offer.

USB Beverage Chiller and Warmer

Like your soda cold or coffee hot and close to you? Look no further! This USB pad will chill any drink. Just plug it into the USB slot on your laptop or desktop computer, put a glass on the pad, and choose if you want to keep your drink cold or warm. Never drink warm soda or cold coffee again!. Temperature of the drink will go as low as 45 degrees Fareinheit.Only thing to watch out for (trust us, we know), try not to spill on your keyboard. The price is around $24.95

Light Bulb Candles

I don’t think anyone has ever glanced at a light bulb and thought it was such an exquisite and shapely object. Therefore I can’t really see that many will quite understand the need to design something in the same shape as a light bulb. Well either way, someone did indeed create a candle in the image of a light bulb. Sit around by candlelight with these odd candles. They come in the shape of your average bulb, as well as one in the shape of an incandescent bulb. For once these two bulbs are equally energy efficient. You can pick up the pair in either gray or white for $25 on Design Public.

Sonic UV Screwdriver

This Sonic Screwdriver is a gadget for all those Doctor Who fans that weren’t satisfied with just the Tardis USB hub. Remember that saying, “if it’s made like a screwdriver and it looks like a screwdriver, it must be a screwdriver”? Oh, and you are so very wrong! It actually has a pen on one head and a beam of UV light at the other. So now you you can write anything you want with UV ink and not worry about other people reading it. Just imagine handing your boss an amazingly favorable report and between the lines your real thoughts. Ha, ha, ha what a subtle revenge. And the revenge costs only 12.99$ and 3 AG 13 batteries. Small price to pay!

Pillete Bluetooth

Pillete, the new concept of Bluetooth headset is so tiny, it’s almost invisible to the untrained eye when you are wearing it. So you don’t have to worry anymore about looking like Robocop when walking down the street with it, but you have to consider the possibility of people starting to think you’ve lost your marbles and you’re talking to yourself. The downside is the fact that people have different sized ears and the device might be to small and slip out or to big and not fit. People who often use earphones will tell you I’m right. But once they’ll figure out a way to make the Pillete adjustable, this design will be the future of all headsets.
