There has never been any drink that settles down on my throat with such calming, warming, neutralizing, relaxing, soothing effest as a warm cup of tea. I drink it everyday, right after meals most of the time, and the ritual is so simple. I just pour in hot water in a cup with the tea bag in it and in a few minutes, the sip comes through. However, if you love making your tea in style and when it’s time to unpack the wedding china and start cutting the crusts off your sandwiches, having the top-of-the-line ugatti Vera Kettle will help.

The handiwork of the same studio responsible for the indecently-fast Veyron supercar, the Vera Electric Kettle offers not only some eye-catching colors but a control-encrusted handle with LCD display. The kettle has special electronic controls for all of the functions required and it can achieve temperatures between 45 and 100 degrees Celsius (113 degrees F through to 212) and of course it’s cordless with a 360-degree . The screen and all of the buttons are located on the handle itself. The screen displays a clock and includes a self-timer that sets and regulates the tea kettle. The kettle can be programmed to make sure that your tea is done when you need it to be, like on a coffee break or first thing in the morning. To get this Bugatti Kettle it’s only going to cost you a measly £185.00 or about $300 from Where Did You Buy That.

yellowBird camera records videos in 360

One of the longest website domain names we’ve ever seen, the yellowBird, is now a videocam company. Capitalizing on Google’s Streetview technology, yellowBird introduces it’s new YellowBird Camera which is capable of recording a full 360-degree view of an event simultaneously, and then proprietary software to stitch the videos together into a huge video-panorama. Combined with targeted directional audio and a web-based flash viewer, they aim to bring interactive 3D video to life on the internet.

The camera uses six cleverly divided lenses, mounted on top of the tripod which you carry around, in order to capture views and sounds from every possible viewing direction while you’re in motion. The data stream generated by the camera is impressive. Through a double glass-fiber connection, a stream of 1200 Mbit per second is captured and saved in an uncompressed format. Next to the camera, a surround sound microphone system enables to record audio at 96 khz as well.

Cool Gadgets for the Active You

Getting active nowadays may require support and enhancements to further succeed and achieve your targets. The cool gadgets mentioned here could surely level up your experience and add vigor to your active concerns: And you can even recommend these to your friend.. at least if you don't intend to give any of these as a gift.

The Only Complete Swiss Army Knife. If you’re in the market for a multifunction tool that just can’t be beaten, take a glance at this beauty that is so feature-packed - it holds a Guinness World Record. Called the Only Complete Swiss Army Knife, it features 87 precision-engineered tools which span 112 different functions - so you’ll be sure to have the right tool to tackle just about any job. This swiss knife includes seven blades, three types of pliers, three golf tools, 25 Phillips and Flat headed screwdrivers, plus saws, wrenches, a signal whistle, combination fish scaler, hook disgorger, line gauge tool, chain rivet setter, sh otgun choke tube tool, cig r-cutting scissors, tire-tread gauge, tweezers, toothpick and for a modern twist, a laser pointer.

Withings bathroom scale. The Connected bathroom scale is a new, high tech gadget from Withings. It provides a way of measuring your weight and keeping track of your diet progress and body composition that is in keeping with the modern focus on personal fitness. The basic concept is this: the bathroom scales tell you your weight in the normal manner and then using a WiFi connection, the results are sent to a web dashboard program which keeps track of your measurements over time, showing you clearly exactly when your weight has gone up or down. The precise tracking allows you to see how factors such as stress and many of the other elements of modern living affect your weight from.

Night Vision Goggles. The cool thing about these goggles is not only do they allow you to see in the dark, but even at full power they won’t be spotted by the animal/ child/ wall you’re following around, as even at full power the light emitted is barely visible to the naked eye. Which makes you wonder if the fifteen meters is really possible- my only experience with night vision goggles to date is of a very blurry looking creature which may or may not have been an antelope a couple of meters away.

Solar Coffee Maker. While this may be the first solar Coffee Maker concept, it will undoubtedly not be the last. The small appliance houses a battery tha t is charged by the sun. Gun Ho Lee also gave it an LCD display with amount of power, hot plate and pod filter. The designer was apparently inspired by watching a documentary about how carbon effects the ecosystem. Maybe that should be required for all.

Internet-Enabled DIY Plant Twitter Kit

You can talk to your girlfriend or boyfriend over the internet, you can talk to your long-distance cousin over the internet, but did you know that you can talk to your house plants over the internet? Everything and everyone else is online why not your plants too?

That's right, with the DIY Plant Twitter Kit you can internet-enable any plant in your house. So you don't have a green thumb and your plants often get neglected because you're spending so much time working, or studying, or surfing the net. With the Plant Twitter Kit your plants can contact you and let you know exactly when they need water or communicate their thanks when you do water them.

The Plant Twitter Kit comes with all the parts you will need to build a translation circuit that will monitor the levels of moisture through the leads that are stuck in the soil. The circuit is simply connected to the Internet through the included Ethernet jack which translates and sends messages to a feed that you subscribe to on the popular site Twitter.com. When you read your plants Twitter you'll know exactly what it needs or wants.

Not only is the DIY Plant Twitter Kit a fun gadget to have it also gets your brain working by having to build your own gadget. Want to communicate with your plants and keep them greener longer, get your Plant Twitter Kit.

There’s a school of thought that says that plants, like higher animals, have thoughts and feelings. They have an inner voice, and can tell you their life-stories, if only you could speak "plant." It’s not a difficult language to learn, actually - there are only a few words to contend with, since all they seem to care about is how much water they’re getting. There are no masculine or feminine nouns. Plus, there are no verb tenses, because plants have no concept of linear time.

The original breakthrough was made just a few months ago when the chief scientist at CERN, attempting to converse with a patch of catnip translated through their Milliard Gargantubrain computer, was able to discern "I CAN HAZ TWITTER?" The scientist didn’t quite understand that gibberish, but his granddaughter did, and the Plant Twitter Kit was born.

Once the kit is assembled, connect it to the Internet through the built-in ethernet jack, jam the leads into the plant’s soil, and subscribe to the plant’s twitter feed. It will tell you when it needs watering, or scold you if you’ve overwatered it, and report its status in between. The DIY Plant Twitter Kit comes unassembled, so you’ll have to break out the soldering iron and get to work. Don’t worry, it’s not that difficult to put together, and the satisfaction you get from building your own translation circuit is huge.

Details

  • Do-It-Yourself Kit includes everything you need to understand what your plant is saying
  • Connects to Twitter over the Internet to report its watering status
  • Some soldering skill is recommended but not required
  • You’ll also need a soldering iron, solder, needle-nose pliers, small snips, masking tape and a flat-head screwdriver

First camera with built-in projector! The Nikon Coolpix S1000pj:

Nikon has just announced the new Nikon Coolpix S1000pj - the world’s first digital camera to include a built-in digital projector. The idea is to allow users to enjoy the pleasure of a ‘personal go-anywhere theatre and to introduce a fun new way to share pictures with friends and families.’

504x_s1000pj_bk_sml_510x230shkl

The Coolpix S1000pj is the first digital camera with a built-in projector that lets users project photos or movies clips on any flat surface at up to 40 inches in size. A handy projector stand is included, as is a remote control that can be used to operate the projector, release the shutter, and more. This model features an effective resolution of 12.1 megapixels and a 5x Zoom-Nikkor lens with 28mm (equivalent) wide-angle coverage, along with a similar image stabilization system to the Coolpix S640.

The Nikon Coolpix S1000pj couples a 12.0 megapixel image sensor with a Nikkor-branded 5x optical zoom lens that offers 35mm-equivalent focal lengths from a useful 28mm wide angle to a 140mm telephoto. In addition, Coolpix S1000pj can support ISO as high as 6,400. For more details on its spec, please read the Nikon Coolpix S1000pj feature highlights.

The Coolpix S1000pj is expected to be available on the market from September.

Nikon COOLPIX S1000pj Feature Highlights:

Sharper results with five advanced Nikon image stabilizing features. The camera selects and uses only the features required to optimize each image:

Nikon’s Optical lens shift and Electronic VR image stabilization systems combine to help produce blur-free images.

High ISO 6400
capability allows faster shutter speeds when shooting in low light or capturing fast-moving subjects.
ISO 3200 and 6400 are available only for image sizes of 3M (2048 x 1536) or smaller.

Motion Detection
automatically controls shutter speed and the ISO setting to compensate for subject movement and camera shake.

And, Nikon’s original BSS (Best Shot Selector) function
automatically shoots a series of sequential frames and saves the one with the sharpest focus.

Nikon’s Smart Portrait System with Skin Softening. Face-priority AF helps produce more satisfying portraits by adjusting focus and exposure for as many as 12 faces in the framed shot. Skin Softening function detects and analyzes a framed subject’s skin, and then adjusts smoothness to produce enhanced results - a digital plus for beauty-conscious women out there. Smile Timer automatically releases the shutter when the subject smiles, while its Blink Proof function shoots two sequential frames, then saves the one in which the subject’s eyes are widest open. Blink Warning presents an alert when it suspects that someone in the shot has blinked. In-Camera Red-Eye Fix automatically corrects any perceived red-eye effect before saving the image to memory.

Intelligent automated shooting modes that promote carefree shooting.
Nikon’s Scene Auto Selector makes it faster and easier to capture the moment by eliminating the need to manually select a scene mode to match the intended shot. This intelligent function determines the subject, analyzes the surrounding settings, and then automatically selects the appropriate scene mode for optimal results. Subject Tracking enhances the shooting experience by following the subject’s movement to ensure clear focus and quick response when that special shutter opportunity presents itself. Subject Tracking even functions if the subject moves out of the frame for a second or two.

Quick Retouch.Quick Retouch automatically adjusts the contrast and saturation of selected photos to create an enhanced copy with the right finishing touch.
